View your device screen on your browsers

Screen Stream over HTTP is a screen mirroring app developed by Dmitriy Krivoruchko. This tool was designed to allow users to stream device screens on web browsers using HTTP. This is done by accessing a mobile device’s assigned IP address from the web browser. The app is supported by any web browser that can read MJPEG images. Unfortunately, this app is not a real-time screen mirroring app as it does have a slight 0.5-1 second delay. It also does not support HD video and audio streaming. Screen Stream over HTTP works mostly for demonstrations that require viewing a device screen, and it works well for its purpose.

PROS

  • Works over most wireless and 3G networks
  • An excellent way to share screens during a presentation
  • Only 2.8 megabytes of memory is needed
  • Most operating systems supported

CONS

  • There will be a lag in the display time
  • Error messages may appear for no reason
  • Not supported by all public wireless networks
  • High bandwidth usage may occur on occasion
